Hi — I'm Chad, a dad in Chicago, and I make Stories You Shape.

I built it because “personalized” kids' books are mostly templates: a stock story with your child's name pasted in. My kid didn't want her name in someone else's story. She wanted to drive.

So that's what this is. You write the premise — three sentences is plenty — describe the heroes, and choose the endings the story is allowed to reach. What comes back is a fully illustrated book that's genuinely yours, either a branching adventure your kid steers or a chapter book read cover to cover.

The illustrations and prose are AI-generated. I'm not shy about that, and I think the interesting question isn't whether a machine drew the pictures — it's who decided what the story says. That's why there are two points where the book stops and waits for you, and why every rewrite and redo is free. A book nobody approved isn't a keepsake.
