What we collect

Your email address (for sign-in links and receipts), the books and inputs you create, and purchase records. If you order a printed book, we also collect the delivery name, address and phone number needed to print and post it. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — your card details never touch our servers. We use one essential session cookie and no advertising or analytics trackers.

How your content is used

Your inputs are sent to AI providers (Anthropic for text, Google for images) solely to generate your book, under their API terms. That includes anything you write about the people in the story, such as a child's name and description — so please don't put sensitive personal details into a premise or character description. We don't use your stories to train models, sell your data, or show your books to anyone — unless you publish a share link, which makes that book readable by anyone who has the link.

If you use “Describe from a photo” when building a cast, the photo is sent once to our AI provider to write the character's text description, and it is not kept: we never save the photo to disk, and only the editable text description is stored with your draft.

Who else sees your data

Stripe (payments), Anthropic and Google (generating your book), Amazon Web Services (hosting, email and backups), Cloudflare (the sign-in captcha), and — for printed orders only — Lulu, our print partner, who receives the delivery details and the book files in order to print and post your order. We don't share your data with anyone else.

Children

The service is for adults; kids are the readers, not the users. We don't create accounts for children or knowingly collect their personal information. Anything about a child that appears in a book is content you chose to write — and, as above, it is sent to our AI providers in order to write and illustrate the book.

Storage and deletion

Data lives on AWS (US regions) with encrypted backups. Deleting a book removes it from your library and disables its share link; ask us and we'll erase its content permanently. To delete your account and everything in it, email chadthomasgill@gmail.com from your account address — we'll confirm and erase within 30 days.
